Addiction Counselling
Addiction counselling is a safe place to tell the truth. It is a place to lay down the shame, stigma and isolation of addiction to educate, inform and empower yourself about how to maintain sobriety. Recovery begins with a step towards honest about our situation and then creating a personalized plan to rebuild our internal and external lives. There is much to do - one day at a time. Addiction Counselling is about learning the educational, spiritual and supportive tools of recovery to join the millions of people who enjoy freedom from substance misuse around the world.
“Frances is the first counsellor I’ve had that’s actually taken the time to get to know me. She has a very good understanding of addiction and trauma. I also feel like she genuinely cares about helping me break free from my past.”

She asks the right questions to encourage one to dig deep within, to recognize and practice gratitude daily and to find faith and hope in healing. Also, her unwavering conviction, courage, and passion for helping others and spreading the message of recovery inspires me. ”

Recovery Counselling
Once you learn how to maintain your sobriety for one entire year, the next adventure begins! Recovery at this phase can often look like exploring healthy relationship patterns, family systems, personal boundaries, spirituality, self-esteem, self-worth, self-love, grief and loss, family of origin work, career and goal setting. Often, when one compulsive behaviour ends, another begins. This is because we have not done the deep work of understanding self. Recovery counselling is where you can explore and challenge your automatic thinking patterns and self-defeating behaviours and ask the very important question...
Now that you're sober; who are you and what do you want from your life? That question is the beginning of creating the life you want in recovery.
Mental Health Counselling
Mental health is defined as "our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood. Over the course of your life, if you experience mental health problems, your thinking, mood, and behaviour could be affected."
You don't need to be struggling with an addiction, to be struggling with your mental health. Mental health is important and vital to everyone. If you are struggling with stress, depression, anxiety, unwanted thoughts and compulsive behaviours, Frances has experienced those same things and helps her clients get back on track by supporting them to process and move towards action around creating a healthy perspective, self-care rituals, and healthy relationships to support good mental health. Our life changes, when we take care of our mental health.
"I would absolutely recommend Frances to anyone seeking counseling. I believe she is really committed at what she does and is invested in people being able to shift, change and grow in recovery and in every aspect of their life if they are willing to put the work in."
